How do I clean the window frame?

For most marks, Dawn® dish soap and warm water will often do the trick. For stronger stains, Fantastik® is also recommended with a sponge or toothbrush for hard to reach crevices. Refrain from using highly concentrated solvents or chemicals as it could damage the vinyl, thus voiding your warranty.

I'm having trouble locking my windows. What do I do?

The most common reason this occurs is because the top and bottom sashes are not in their "tight and locked positions." Make sure your top sash is pushed all the way up into the top of the window frame and make sure the bottom sash is pushed all the way down into the bottom of the frame, as well. Then try to lock your windows. If the problem is still occurring, then fill out the Warranty Claim form and we will be glad to help.

Why do I have condensation on my new windows?

Actually, this is a sign that your windows are working 100% properly. When we install your new windows, we make sure that not only the window is airtight but also the opening in which the window sits. Previously, your old windows were not considered air tight, therefore any excess humidity was able to escape through your windows and openings. Now that your house is sealed, excess humidity from inside of your home has no where to go. Try turning on your ceiling fans to break up the hot air or even cracking your windows. You can also refer to our Condensation Guide for ways you can decrease the humidity inside of your home.
