Window World's SolarZone Insulating Glass Packages
One trade-off that customers typically make when choosing to have a window instead of a bare wall is energy savings. People make that choice because windows are beautiful, let in natural light, and give a pleasant view of the outdoors. However, windows in general have less insulation than a wall; especially older windows or windows that are made poorly. Our SolarZone™ insulating glass packages are made to give you the best of both worlds: a beautiful window to let in natural light and the energy-efficiency that you need. It combines the Warm-Edge Spacer System with multi-layered, vacuum deposition Low-E glass and Argon gas, the SolarZone™ glass package reduces your homes carbon footprint. This technology allows you to use less natural resources to heat your home because you can better retain your air conditioning and heating. Not only can these glass packages keep your home comfortable for less, but it also reduces ultraviolet energy exposure that is known to cause carpet, curtain, and furniture fading by over 75%.
Warm-Edge Spacer System
The Warm-Edge Spacer System is window spacer system (the component that separates glass layers) that does a better job than many of its counterparts in improving the window's energy efficiency. Traditional box-shaped spacer systems are inefficient at preventing heat loss and can sometimes even cause condensation build-up inside your windows, which is unsightly.
What makes our Warm-Edge Spacer so superior is its design: it blocks any potential heat escape points better than the traditional spacer systems. This design also reduces the likelihood of condensation build-up. This system also eliminates the instances of glass touching metal, which makes is non-conductive and reduces temperatures on the edge of the glass. One feature that makes this spacer system more effective than its predecessors is its U-Shaped Design.
SolarZone Low-E Glass doesn't look any different from other types of glass, but lookts can be deceiving! What makes it so special is a microscopic metallic coating to the second surface of an insulating glass unit, which is invisible to the naked eye. This special coating reflects the longer summer-time sun rays to keep out heat, yet welcomes the winter-time shorter rays to garner as much natural heating as possible. This literally helps keep your house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Our SolarZone Glass Packages takes advantage of one of Nature's best tools: Argon. The space between the window panes (which is designed for insulation) is often a "wasted" space with traditional windows because it is only filled with regular air. Window World takes advantage of this space to bring you even more energy savings. Instead of regular air, we use Argon as a superior insulating material. Although Argon is colorless and odorless, it is far from useless. It is much denser and less thermally conductive than air, making it a perfect candidate for insulation in this space. And because Argon is the third most common gas in Earth's atmosphere, it is not a scarce resource.
